My Baby Boy is 24 years old today!

Tuesday, 23 December 2008 14:54 by leticia

I am filled with emotion as I write this...My son Daniel is 24 today! Time just fly's by so quickly. My advise to all young parents is this: Treasure and Cherish every single phase that your child goes through, whether good or bad, handle the situation with all the patience you can muster ( and I know there are days that you have to dig deep for that patience ) but Please do so. Because one day you too will be reminising on the days of your youth and your young children...you don't want to have regrets:  those Woulda, Coulda and Shoulda's! They are little people that we brought into this Insane world...So lets do all that we can to help and prepare them to be able to withstand the pressures that lie ahead for them in the future, because times are only getting worse as foretold in the Bible at 2 Timothy 3: 1-7 where it reads:

"1)But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2) For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3) having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4) betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5) having a form of godly dovotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6) For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with the sins, led by various desires, 7) always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth."

Dont we see all that was just described going on today? So let us as parents do our best to prepare our young children for all of this, as well as train them so as to not become one of these unthankful people just mentioned in the bible scriptures.

Daniel has grown up to be a Fine Young Man...I am so Proud of who he is! He is very Kind and Loving with a HUGE heart as well as extremely talented...God gave my son the talent of being a very Creative Artist in which he can express himself. Being a single mother, I did not always have alot of material things to offer my son growing up, But I gave him all the Love I had, I do know that at times he must have felt left out at school, because he did not have the Nikes that everyone else had or the coolest latest styles of clothing...so I was glad that he had an outlet for his feelings and emotions. I know that he loves me...he has always let me know that...Even as a teenager he would ask me to go to his school at his Junior High to have lunch with him and his friends, and I remember on one particular occasion that I did that...As I was finished with my lunch and visiting with him, I stood up to leave and said " Okay Babe, I will see you at home later...Bye" I had opted not to give him our usual departure hug and kiss, so that I wouldn't embarrass him in front of his friends...But Daniel yelled over to me as I was turning to leave: " Mom, where's my hug and kiss?" and I turned immediately  and gave him a nice tight hug and kiss on the cheek (and then whispered to him why I hadn't). I couldn't believe it... here he is a 15 year old with all of his friends and he still didn't care if his mom hugged and kissed him goodbye...I always knew that I had a special Son, but he was even more special to me at that very moment...he totally made my day, I was smiling inside for the rest of the day!

Now he has a Beautiful wife and two Gorgeous little girls that I have the pleasure of being able to Love...Loving my grandbabies is like a Second Chance...for Anything and Everything that I feel that I may not have Done Often Enough... or Long Enough... or Good Enough, with him. I get to love my son all over again through his Precious daughters at the same time as Loving them to the Fullest. I treasure them and they treasure me...It is such an Awesome feeling to go to their home or the Kingdom Hall and hear "GLAMA!"  from across the room...as they are running to me with opened arms and a huge smile and Love in their eyes... because they are so excited to see me. So he has done it yet again... ' Made my Day ' through his daughters.

Thank you Son...For being the ' Very Best Son ' that any mother could ever dream of having!

Te Amo,

Mom

Portrait Sessions

Thursday, 11 December 2008 14:23 by leticia

Well, I have a few Family portrait sessions lined up for the next couple of weeks...And Matt From Doggy Snooze, contacted me again and would like to use me again, this time for his other line "Doggy Ride" so we will have that Product photo shoot next week. He is putting together a 360 degree shot of this product for his website, so I am going to shoot the same product at 72 different angles to get the effect that he is looking for. Should be interesting. Well I will keep everyone informed on any new upcoming events.~Leticia

Red Velvet Theatre Newsletter

Red Velvet Theatre Newsletter

Newsletter Volume No.1
December 1, 2008

Hello Friends,

We would like to welcome you and thank you for your interest in Red Velvet Theatre. Our Grand Opening was November 28, 2008 and we had a nice little turn out...There were 13 of our Family and friends that enjoyed our Feature Presentation of Speed Racer.

It has always been a little dream of Adam's and mine, to have a theatre room in our home, we love to watch movies on Friday nights. So, I came across some old vintage theatre seats that the Port Orchard Theatre was giving away, we were able to get 22 seats and have 18 of them in our Little Theatre Room, so of course I couldn't just stop at theatre seats...I went out and got some movie posters and created a film-like decoration out of poster board to go around the walls behind the Posters, we also got a bunch of Rope lighting for the entire room as well as purchased 8 yds. of Red Velvet material  and gold trim, and made a vintage looking curtain to go behind our 67" TV. Adam bought me a little popcorn maker and a snowcone machine and as you can see in the pictures we also have a Margarator...Yum!

We didn't just want to keep all of this to ourselves, we wanted to share this with our friends and invite you over for a nice wholesome movie and a little socializing . So, we thought it would be a great idea to build a website that we could share with you, our friends...A website that would show you which movie we will be featuring that week and the time that it will begin. We hope to see you here soon and hope that your visit is as enjoyable, as it has been for us to create this little dream of ours.

Be sure to visit our website at http://www.redvelvettheatre.com/ for our next showing on Saturday December 06, 2008 around 7pm. We should have a different showing every Saturday around the same time, unless otherwise posted. We will be showing Old and newly released movies...If you have any movie suggestions, please feel free to email me with your suggestions at Leticia@LeticiaWilsonPhotography.com

Some friends have asked if there is a charge for the movie...The answer is Absolutely No! However, If you would like to make a contribution for popcorn, soda and candy you may do so, but it is not necessary... our goal is simply to enjoy your company.
