Well, here is a little sample of the Engagement Portrait session I just shot on Tuesday the 24th it went really really well, It was so much fun, They were a really Fun Couple, they had lots of ideas for poses that they wanted to try, and were up for any poses I mentioned, and They just kept kissing all the time...They will forever be remembered by me as the "So In Love Kissing Couple" they were great, Carol told me that they met at a dance, so it was very important to them to get some "Dancing Shots" for their Engagement Portrait Session. It was so cute, I thought they were just going to do some dance poses for me to photograph, but they didn't they were really dancing...and to NO music and they were so into it...smiling, laughing, kissing, I told them to ignore me and just have fun and they had no problem doing that! to see the rest of their engagement portraits go to: http://www.leticiawilsonphotography.com/displaygallery.aspx?GID=221&FID=13&Cname=Couples%20and%20Engagements&Fname=Steve%20and%20Carol  They will be married on August 23, 2008 So I will be there to shoot their wedding...I look forward to that. Well, I am going to finish editing their portraits I will post more of them later ~Leticia

Our Journey home from Leavenworth, WA

Saturday, 21 June 2008 22:39 by leticia

So this morning we had breakfast...in the Enzian Inn Breakfast Room, and heard the Horn Playing again, then we went and got our packed bags and loaded them into the car...and offwe were...Russ and Roselie wanted to head to this place that sells fresh fruit and while there we saw a petting farm, and a lot of neat little things for kids to do, so first Roselie got some fresh veggies, and I got some bing cherries....I love cherries! Then we went out and played...I hope you have as much fun looking at the photos as I did taking them!

This is Finesse with a scarecrow...it looks like its petting her head or something.

This is so cute I can't believe that the Poggensee's actually went along and put their heads in there with us...I love them!

Here I am imitating some of those naughty kids that stick out their tongues at people while on the school bus.

Finesse was having SOOOO much fun, feeding the animals...It was cute to watch!

That horse that Finesse is feeding...was kicking the fence the whole time that Finesse was feed the Alpaca or llama or whatever that other animal was...so we got her some more food so she could feed it, so that it would stop kicking the fence, then she tried to feed the little black pony/horse that is next to the red one and the little red one came and used its back legs and kicked the black one and made it cry a bit...that was sad, but then the black one would come back to get more food and get the same treatment and then it finally came and got the food out of Finesse's hands as fast as possible and then ran off before the other one could make it over to him and kick him....Yay, Success!

I love this picture...it's as if he was saying "Hey, Take my picture!" You don't have to ask me twice Wink

After the petting farm, we got back in the van and went to the Town of Roslyn...The town where the TV series "Northern Exposure" was filmed.  Roselie says that they used the Roslyn Cafe alot in the shows. I thought these musicians were very interesting and artistic looking.

In this next pic. I was just about to take a picture of the town, and this man walks out of the store to smoke a cigarette, he spotted me and looked down,But I had already released my shutter button, and thought nothing of it, til I got home and thought what the heck happened to his face...their wasn't a reflection from anywhere ricochetting off of my camera, to make his face do that, but it looked like a ghost or a mask or something, til I zoomed in on his face and figured out what had happened... he had just blown the smoke out from his cigarette and I just happened to capture it perfectly in front of his face, if you look in the window to the right, at his reflection you can see his face...freaky at first, but really cool after I thought about it, If had wanted or had tried to do that I probably could have never captured that, just one of those moments. I love the pic.

While still in Rosyln, Roselie wanted to show us this cemetary that she was amazed with cause she had never heard of a tombstone with porcelain pictures of people on them...I had in Castroville, TX., but she wanted to go see them again. Now you may think this next pic. was awful of me to take, but I just couldn't help myself...of course I've always heard the saying" (So and So) has died and is pushing up daisies" so that is what popped up in my mind when I saw this...sorry if I offend anyone, But here it is so literal, there are daisies on this grave sight. I guess the reason it didn't make me feel bad to take this photo, is because being a bible reader and knowing that the dead are in a deep sleep and conscience of nothing ( they are not suffering, as a matter of fact...I feel that WE the living are the ones suffering, because we have to live in this world that is getting more and more filled with cruelty and wickedness) the dead are conscience of nothing simply...asleep and resting and feel or know nothing..and if you really have faith in Jehovah, you know that one day all those in their memorial tombs will come out ...

This house was so cool looking...it looked like it was straight out of a horror movie, but then I noticed something amazing, so I zoomed in and took the next shot...

This scary, abandoned old house had a little bird house up at it's highest window, with a little birdie looking out of it's door...and then just today as I was posting this, I looked up and zoomed in on to the peak of the roof and noticed the Mom bird looking down at the baby...as if to see how the bird was doing or to see if the bird would take its first flying lesson, and to be there in case it fell or something...I just found it quite amazing that an old scary house had this little family living in a little bird house while the whole interior of the house was empty...I think if this old house was fixed up it would look awesome.

I took this next photo, cause I thought it was hilarious how the sign said "Shut" never seen that before, of course we have all seen a "Closed" sign, but I had never seen one that simply said "Shut"

So on this note I will "Shut" this Blog now...til later~Leticia

Engagement Portrait Session

Thursday, 19 June 2008 07:03 by leticia
Yesterday morning at 9am I met with a client, Carol at her house to sign the contracts for her Engagement Portrait Session. Her fiance Steve and she would like to have outdoors shots, so we are going to start off in her back yard then head into downtown Enumclaw and take some there around town, and then head over to another town  to takes some at this nice, old, rustic place that I found. And we also did the contract signing for her August 23 wedding. That should a pretty nice wedding. I will post the Engagement Shots as soon as I take them on the 24th of this month. She has some really cute ideas of her own for some shots...I really love it when I have willing clients that dont hate having their photos taken...makes it so nice, cause they will get out of the photos what they put into them.

Our Trip to Leavenworth, WA

Monday, 16 June 2008 11:09 by leticia

We just got back a few hours ago from Leavenworth, WA. My spiritual Parents Russ and Roselie Poggensee were having their 64th Wedding Anniversary...So My Husband and Daughter and I drove them to this Bovarian Town Called Leavenworth and celebrated their anniversary with them. We left on Saturday the 14th Which was their wedding Date (June 14, 1944) first we stopped at The Summit and had a very nice breakfast, then we continued on our journey, and got into Leavenworth a little to early to check into our room at The Enzian Inn, so we continued driving to some Huge Antique Shops that the Poggensee's were excited to visit. I was worried that Finesse (my 16 year old daughter) would be bored there, but I was pleasantly surprised...She absolutely loved it! She kept saying "Mom, Look at this"! and "Mom, Look at that!" We all had a blast, I can't wait to edit all the 400+pics that I took on our trip, so that I can post a few on here to share with all of you. Anyway...We had already put alot of thought into gifts for the Poggensee's, and had them in the van all wrapped up and hiding in a gift bag, but when we got to the Antique shop, Brother Poggensee fell in love with a floral decorative hanging vintage plate...so I kept a mental note of that, and listened attentively to see if Roselie mentioned anything she would absolutely love to have...and finally towards the end she fell in love with an old vintage birdhouse on a 4x4 decorative post that had been white-washed. The reason she wanted that so badly is because they just recently had a little bird family move in on their porch and they sing "Chicka dee dee dee" ( atleast that is how Russ describes it) every morning while they are out there having their coffee...so she felt it would be a perfect home for their new little family of birds. So I went and found Adam and told him of my plans to get them these things; the Plate for Russ and the birdhouse for Roselie, and he loved the idea, so we went and paid for it and surprised them with it, and they were very touched. By the time we got out of the Antique place "Annies" it was close to time to go and check into the Inn. So we headed over there. We checked in and "Oh the lobby of this place was fabulous" and we loved our cozy Bovarian Decorated room. We freshened up and walked into town to check out all the cool shops. and then we found a place to have dinner, went back to the Inn to freshen up again and went to dinner Some had Steak and some had Shrimp fettuccini...yum! After dinner we presented the Poggensee's with their real gifts We got Russ a really nice engraved pocket watch, on the top of the watch it had his name "Russell Taze Poggensee" and on the back of it said "For Dad on your 64th Anniversary, 6/14/08, Love Adam and Leticia" and on the inside we put a black and white picture of them on their wedding day. He absolutely loved it! And what was so great is that he said " Wow...Roselie just told me last week, "what you need Russell is a pocket watch"!" So that was fantastic to hear that they really needed and love the gift..we were worried that he may not have a use for it, because he usually wears wrist watches. And for Roselie I couldn't find the Necklace watch that I wanted for her, but I got her the next thing on my list which was a sterling silver and pearl/diamond lipstick case holder, with a little mirror in it, so that when she puts her lipstick on at a restaurant or just out and about, she will have the case and a mirror, and we also got her a matching "compact mirror" and on the lipstick case we had her name engraved "Roselie Poggensee" and on the back of the "compact" it said " For Mom on your 64th wedding anniversay, 6/14/08, Love Adam and Leticia" She loved it. We love them very much and wanted them to know it...We had a blast all three days We went to lake Wenachee, we did alot of shopping, listening to live music, alot of EATING, and storytelling and just enjoyed our time together, oh yeah and we loved the jaccuzzi...I hope you enjoy the pictures!

I used to have a Mickey Mouse hat like this when I was a little pig-tailed girl, it had my name sewn in the back

Marilyn Monroe was born the same year as Roselie!

On their way up to the rooms.

Finesse, in the upstairs lobby overlooking the pool area.

Our room it was room # 236 and the Poggensee's were right next door in 238

The Flower Shaped jacuuzi...it was so relaxing!

At a wine tasting.

Doing some shopping, look at the beautiful details...all the artwork on the buildings, and the beautiful flowers.

Adam and I...more art details and lovely flowers, oh and my new Pink genuine leather bag for only $19.00

Russ reading the inscription on his pocket watch

I think they like it!

Roselie looking at her compact mirror.

Roselie reading the inscription on her lipstick case holder.

All of us...except Finesse is taking the picture.

After dinner we went to listen to some bovarian live music. It was alot of fun!

The next morning at breakfast the horns man came out and stood on the 5 or 6" rail of the deck and blew his horn, and it is said that it can be heard throughout the whole town, people can set their clocks by it...he blows it at 8:15am, 9:15am, and other times as well, I believe this may be his last year to do this, he is close to retireing he is training others to follow in his footsteps.

I believe these are family members that he is training to take over the horn blowing.

The Poggensee's enjoying their coffee after breakfast.

After Sunday breakfast we headed to Lake Wenatchee...Here we all are!

Now we are back in Leavenworth...everyone wanted to go and have some lunch!

Finesse...kept saying she wanted a picture with him yesterday, so we were finally on that side of the street, he was a friendly Bear!

After lunch we went back to the Inn to freshen up and relax for a bit...

After we were done resting up a bit, we went back to the Antique shops, there was one other big one that we hadn't gone to yesterday. And it is a good thing we went back because Adam is the biggest Star Wars Fan/Geek and there was a whole little room dedicated to it. He was in Heaven.

I surprised Finesse with a Mother/Daughter gift that I fell in Love with and just really wanted her to have from me. It was a pink musical egg, that says "My daughter My Joy" and you open the egg up and it has a pink rose in it, and it plays the tune of "You Are So Beautiful" so when we got out of the Shop I sat her down and gave it to her.

Well this was the end of our trip in Leavenworth, I will write more and post pics of our Journey home yesterday. 'Til then Goodnight yall

Stock Photography

Tuesday, 3 June 2008 05:49 by leticia

Today I will be focusing on Stock Photography a bit...I haven't submitted anything to Fotolia or BigStock in awhile (atleast a couple of months) But the beauty of it is that even when I am not working on Stock photography...it is still working for me. Everyday I seem to sell a few pics. on there and make money. Most sales come from out of the country...So while I sleep I make money Cool Awesome! But the more I submit the more chances of making more money I have. So now that I have a few photo shoots out of the way...I can concentrate on Stock a bit and I have to Do some school (Medical Transcribing) I am so close to being finished with it...just 4 more exams, but I am procrastinating...because Photography is my true love. And Medical Transcribing was just going to be a supplement income on the slow months of photography. But Even on the slow months there is still Stock that is never really slow.

Okay, well enough babbling....

p.s let me share a few photos of my "Secret Garden" yard, I feel like I live in paradise already...It is absolutely beautiful here. there are like 7 pathways through the flower garden, my goal is to have a sitting area at the end of each trail or pathway...however, some paths don't have an end some lead to another pathway...but I would like to have a nice sitting, reading, drinking a refreshment area at the end of any trails.
