Yesterday...I was at the hospital all day...My Glama Girl had surgery to have her tonsils removed (poor baby) they were so huge they were the size of olives, you could not even see down her throat they were so large, now you can look down her throat...The actual surgery only lasted about 15 minutes, but she couldn't leave until she was coherent enough. When she first came out of the surgery she was crying hysterically, but they said it was because of the medication...It scares most kids to feel drugged up, so they wanted to see if she would calm down on her own, but she wasn't so she was given medication to calm her down, and that knocked her out, so when she woke up the first scary medication had worn off...thank goodness! But then she was having trouble swallowing her own saliva, however later in the car on the way home she got her cereal container and got out a dry cereal and chewed it and swallowed it with no problem at all, then she fell asleep, then on the home we stopped at McDonalds, and she ate a chicken nugget and french fries, and a popsicle, she is doing fantastic. Poor thing. I gave her the rest of the gifts that I had bought her, before the surgery I gave her a Jumbo princess coloring book and crayons, the coloring book also had a few page of princess stickers...she is a total sticker queen, if you want to be her best friend get her stickers. It is a phase she is going through, just loves them! So after her surgery I gave her the rest of her gifts: A book of over 1,200 stickers, a "Don't Tickle Elmo Game" ( it is a kids version of "Operation") helps with coordination, and I got her a cute singing card that says something like "I dont want to hear your feeling 'So So' or 'Not Bad' or 'Just Okay'...then you open the card and it sings the James Brown Song... " I feeeeeeel Good" and the card reads on and says "Thats what I want to hear" She loved the card. I am so glad she is doing okay.
This morning she called me and said "Thank you for my card Ama" How sweet is that? I told her I was gonna go visit her later in the day she said "Otay" she sounds like one of the Little Rascals, so when she says "Otay", I usually say "Otay Buckwheat", she then says "I not Buttwheat" then I say "Otay"
***I just got back from visiting my Glama Girl...and she was sleeping and it was time for her medication, so I got to wake her up I layed next to her in her bed, and she opened her eyes and jumped to my arms and layed on me, what a sweetheart! She said " I Love You" Gosh, I LOVE that lil girl! Kasidy my Glama Baby was sleeping so I let her sleep. So I could spend one on one time with Danyel. Okay later~Leticia
